Aging and Later-Life Counseling

Later life can bring new possibilities alongside changes that are difficult to navigate. Retirement, changes in health or independence, caregiving, and the loss of people close to you can reshape familiar routines and relationships. You may be finding your footing in a life that looks different from the one you expected.

Space for change, loss, and possibility

Drawing on ten years as a hospice social worker, I offer a compassionate space to talk about aging, grief, changing roles, and what matters to you now. You do not have to minimize what is difficult or feel positive about every change. There is room for sadness, uncertainty, joy, and hope.

Together, we can explore ways to maintain connection, communicate your needs, navigate decisions, and make room for meaningful activities and relationships. Whether you are adjusting to changes in your own life or caring for someone close to you, our work will reflect your priorities and proceed at your pace.

Available in person in Grand Rapids and online throughout Michigan.
